HABEMA LAKE


The beauty of Lake Habema located in Wamena, Jayawijaya District, Papua Province,will generate all the human senses.

The original name of this lake is Yuginopa. This lake is located in the complexJayawijaya Mountains. With a height of 3225 meters above sea level, this lake was asked as one of the highest lakes in Indonesia. You can see directly Wilhelmina Peak(now called Peak Trikora, but the locals prefer to call her real name) towering in front of the eye. At its peak there were grains of ice adorned equatorial country.

Here, the only sound you can hear is the hum of nature beautiful singing. Try to close your eyes and listen to the wind swept the leaves, moving freely in the valley without limit.From a distance the surface of the water looks calm, if not ignored by era. But if you lookclosely, the ripples and small waves emerging from the surface.

JAYAWIJAYA MOUNTAINS

Jayawijaya mountains the only mountain in Indonesia which has the eternal snow-cappedpeaks. Although not all peaks Jayawijaya cluster that has snow. Snow is owned by several current peaks even disappear due to global climate change. Jayawijayamountain peak has 6 well-known:

1. Jaya Peak is the culmination of a part of the Barisan Sudirman contained in the province of Papua, Indonesia. Puncak Jaya has a height of 4884 m and glacierssurrounding Carstenz there, the only tropical glacier in Indonesia, which will most likely belost as the top global warming.The Poentjak Sukarno and was named the highest mountain in Oceania. Puncak Jaya is one of the top seven of the world.

2. Mandala Peak (in Dutch colonial times known as Julianatop) is one of the mountain inPapua, Indonesia. With a height of 4760 m, is the highest mountain peak Mandala-3 inIndonesia after the peak of Puncak Jaya and Trikora. Puncak Mandala Star Mountains form the east and near the border of Papua New Guinea.

3. Trikora Peak (Peak Trikora) is a mountain located in West Papua, Indonesia. This peakhas a height of 4.751 meters tall Trikora, so the second highest mountain after PuncakJaya in Indonesia. Trikora Peak hill dipterocarp forest has, Upper dipterocarp forests,Montane forests, mountains and forests, or forests Ericaceous.
